a room where people can bring sew machines and or do crafts. adults only.where we can talk and not bother others. the windowed rooms on the second floor by the crafts and diy section would be great! not for people to come and lounge. a place where we can cut fabrics and paper and use glues and irons.
daily exercise classes for seniors and instructions in crafts,quilting,hand sewing,crocheting,ect. ALL FREE. by volunteer would be great!
On the first floor should be the fiction and non fiction books along with about 6 or 7 computers for a small computer lab. I think the front desk should be moved over some towards the center. Today most people are looking for ways to fit into low impact development or greener buildings. I this this would be a win/win. That Birmingham Library redesign it library to a more moderm look.
It would be nice to have a place inside that has a nice eating area.
I have no idea how this works or if it is workable.

add screens to certain places in the library and sell advertising to be shown on these screens. The advertising would have to be visual only with no sound except in the escalator tubes, elevators, or the waiting line at the circulation desk.

Elevator pitch: You certainly don't have to explain your votes, but providing your reasons may help generate more good ideas. When I know *why* someone disagrees with me, I can address those concerns. When I know why someone agrees with me, I know more precisely how my idea/comment appeals to respondents.
A modern break room for staff-- Staff restrooms on each floor-- A private computer area for families with small children-- Private study rooms
outdoor plaza to create multiple sites for play, work and rest.
Relocate the public personal computers away from desks of staff members.
